NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Taxing Questions To Be Answered February 4, 1998 Northern New Jersey Everything you want to know about new tax laws and deductions affecting self-employed entrepreneurs is the topic of the Wednesday, February 18 meeting of the Self-employed Writers and Artists Network (SWAN). The meeting, which opens with a general networking session at 7:30 p.m., will be held at the Bergen Museum of Art and Science in Paramus. Tom Barkalow and David Pollack of OBrien Financial Services and CPA Earl Coppock of Totowa will lead the seminar with informal presentations highlighting new tax legislation and ways in which self-employed people can maximize deductions and retirement benefits. A question and answer session will follow. Refreshments will be served. The meeting is free to SWAN members and $8 for non-members. SWAN, founded in 1984, is the regional business-to-business organization of freelance creative professionals, including writers, designers, illustrators, photographers, and multimedia producers.
